Why USA ?

USA is universally hailed for its better quality of education. The fact that country assigns highest budget for education emphasizes on the point that education is of utmost importance in USA and this is of great help for any student’s career graph. Also, attributing to the USA’s prominence duly given to education, a lot of universities and colleges offer great range of programs available to every kind of student.

Study in USA itself is a great opportunity and all everyone who dreams cannot achieve it. American Studies isMultidisciplinarywhich means it combines a number of academic disciplines like Literature, History, and Politics etc. rather than a single discipline, like History. This means that the students will get to study a range of subjects within one degree. The students can also understand the invisible forces that have shaped the nation so strong. Moreover, I love American’s positive attitude.

How To Apply

Application Procedure

The first step to apply for a university is to fill the online application from that University website. If online application is not available for a particular university then download paper application from the university's website.

Once you have decided the university/college you wish to apply to, visit their website and order a free prospectus or "view book". This will be so helpful.
There are three modes of applications: Early Decision/Early Action; Regular Decision; and Rolling Admissions. Irrespective of the mode, start the application process at least a year before the deadline.
Early Decision is to decide about the university you want to join in. The difference between Early Action and Early Decision is that Early Decision demands a binding commitment to enroll; that means, if a student secures an admission under an early decision program the candidate must withdraw all other universities and colleges which he/she had applied earlier and enrolls at that institute, whereas early action does not require binding. Also, under Early Decision students can only apply to one university whereas Early Action usually allows students to apply to several universities. Some universities like Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Stanford also have Single-Choice Early Action. Students who apply for these universities need not be bounded to these particular universities, even if accepted. The advantage of applying under Early Action or Early Decision is that you have a greater chance of admission.

But majority of students apply for Regular Decision phase. The deadline for this will be around 1st January and an admissions decision is made by April 1st.
The candidate can apply through the Common Application (Common App) or through a University's own application.

• Passport Photostat first and last pages
• Photographs
• Work Experience letter if applicable

Any other qualification certificates or extracurricular activities certificates (Attested by Graduation College in a sealed envelope)

For Architecture & Fashion Design a Portfolio or the Project report is required.

Note:Two set of documents are required per University one for Admission & other for Scholarship & all documents should be submitted in separate envelops.

Admission Knocks

Below are the admission requirements for USA:

• 10th Marks Sheet (Attested by the Principal in a sealed envelope)
• 12th Marks Sheet (Attested by the Principal in a sealed envelope)
• Degree Individual Marks Sheet (Attested by the Registrar of the University in a sealed envelope)
• Provisional & Consolidate Certificate (Attested by the Registrar of the University in a sealed envelope)
• If the student is in a final year, Course Completion Certificate (Attested by the College Principal in a sealed envelope)
• Statement of Purpose (we can help, if required)
• Three Recommendation letters from HOD/Professors/Asst. Professors or Lecturer of the Graduation College
• Bank Statement for Rupees Fifteen to Eighteen Lakhs, on Bank, letter head (Attested by the Branch Manager)
• Affidavit of Support from the Sponsor
• TOEFL/IELTS, SAT, GRE & GMAT scores report photo copies & officially score should be sent to the University through ETS.
• Educational Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
• Passport Photostat first and last pages
• Photographs
• Work Experience letter if applicable

Student Visa

Generally, a citizen from a foreign country who wishes to visit the United States must first obtain a visa. Nonimmigrant visa is for those who want to stay temporarily and immigrant visa is for permanent residence. Student visa is a must to study in the United States. Your course of study determines whether you need an F-1 visa or an M-1 visa.

Students must have student (F-1 or M-1) visas to travel to the United States.

Distance learning which requires a period of time on the U.S. campus needed an F-1 visa.

The candidates must first apply to SEVP approved school and to be accepted by it.

There are several steps to apply for a visa. The process depends on the U.S. embassy or consulate you apply.

The candidate must fill the online visa application and bring the hardcopy of the application form confirmation page to the interview. Upload your photo while completing the online Form DS-160.

For new Students F-1 and M-1 student visas can be issued up to 120 days in advance of their course of study.

Continuing Students can renew their visas at any time, as long as they have maintained student status and they can enter the US at any time before their classes start.

Fee for the non-refundable visa application may also be paid, if required.

A list of documents needed for visa:

• Passport valid for travel to the U. S. - Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay in the U. S. If quite one person is enclosed within the passport, each individual desires a visa should submit a separate application.
• Form DS-160 confirmation page, Nonimmigrant Visa Application, submission fee acknowledgement, if you are required.

• Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status-For Educational and Language Scholars, Form I-20A-B or Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (M-1) Student standing for occupational scholars, Form I-20M-N – Your faculty can send you a SEVIS-generated kind I-20 once they have entered your information in the SEVIS database. You and your school authorized should sign the Form I-20. All students, who want to stay with their partner and minor children in the United States, must be registered in the Student and Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS). Each person receives an individual Form I-20.
