How To Apply
Application Procedure
Before applying to an Irish university students determine your status as Non EU or EU.
The assessment of NON-EU and EU status will be determined at the time of the application. This status cannot be changed to first year registration.
The Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service have prepared some guidelines for students. These can be available on their website.
EU :A candidate will qualify for EU status when they meet the following criteria:
If the candidate is over 25, they should be the nationals of an EU member state and are residing for three of the five years prior to the commencement of the programme. They have been in full-time employment in an EU member state for three years out of the last five years.
If the candidate is under 25, they should be resided in an EU member state for three of the five years and their parents have been in full – time employment in an EU member state for three of the five years.
All the remaining applications are non-EU applications.
Usually, there is one intake for institutions in Ireland and that is in September of every year. There are some institutions that open their gates in February as well for admissions.
Documents necessary for applying
- Attested copies of all educational certificates and documents.
- At least 2 Letters of Recommendations from the professors who taught you the latest.
- Statement of Purpose
- Curriculum Vitae
- Bonafide letter from the employer if you have work experience.
- Photo Copy of Official Score card of IELTS/TOEFL.
- A portfolio resume of students who are applying for arts/design courses.
Academic requirements for under Graduate
In Ireland, there is a lot of competition for the popular programs. Students are graded on their six best subject scores.
A good command over the language is very essential for International students. They should not only be able to understand, but also converse and speak English well. Good news is that many universities and colleges provide English language training courses for their students.

Student Visa
To obtain a student visa, one should get an offer letter from the French University of his/her choice. Then only they can obtain for a student visa. Moreover, the student has to get the Visa before he/she leaves their resident country.
French Government is not eager to provide jobs, due to high unemployment. In addition, France is infamous for its extensive red tape, which can make everything from buying a car to renting an apartment an administrative nightmare.
One common job for students is an au pair position.
Marry a French citizen will facilitate to obtain French citizenship to some extent. But a lot of paperwork is also required. In other words, marriage will not automatically make you a French citizen.
Though, there are ways to find the work that pays you under the table, they are highly risky as they are illegal.
